How to Get to Longridge
From Auckland: Head into Paeroa and turn left after the Caltex station. Take the second left into Norwood Road, then the second left into Waimarei Avenue.
From Hamilton or Tauranga: Head towards Paeroa’s main street. Turn right into Arney Street (SH26), drive about 1.5km, then turn left at the Racecourse Motel into Norwood Road. Take the second right into Waimarei Avenue.
Karangahake Gorge
Historic walks, bush trails, and riverside views minutes from the village. Follow old gold mining tunnels and swing bridges through native bush, with the river running alongside the track.
Waihi Beach
A 30 minute drive to the coast for fresh air, sea views, and cafe stops. Long stretches of sand and a laid back beach town feel, with plenty of spots to grab lunch on the way home.
Hauraki Rail Trail
Cycle straight from Longridge through scenic countryside. Flat, well formed paths through farmland and the Karangahake Gorge, suited to all fitness levels. E-bikes welcome.
Te Aroha, Athenree and Okoroire hot pools
