Paeroa is one of those places that often surprises people. From the outside it can seem quiet and unassuming, but spend a bit of time here and you quickly realise how friendly, connected and full of life it really is.
That's one of the things residents love about living at Longridge. You get the peace and space of countryside living, while still being part of a town where there's always something going on if you want to get involved.
Local Clubs and Activities Right on the Doorstep
There's no shortage of ways to stay active and social around Paeroa.
Some residents enjoy heading along to the Paeroa Tennis Club, while others prefer line dancing, rock 'n' roll nights, croquet, outdoor bowls or a round at the local golf club.
The RSA and Ohinemuri Club are both popular for catching up with friends, and the Ohinemuri Club's famous $14 dinners have become a bit of a local favourite.
And if you enjoy the outdoors, the Hauraki Rail Trail, Karangahake Gorge and nearby walks make it easy to get out and explore.

Life At Longridge
Back at the village, there’s plenty happening as well, but always at your own pace.
Residents enjoy weekly barista coffee mornings, complimentary Happy Hour, resident-led groups, pool competitions, darts, cards, craft groups, walking groups and more. The village van heads out regularly for outings, and the orchards and communal vege gardens are always popular with those who enjoy a bit of gardening.

The Best of Both Worlds
What makes Longridge different is that lovely balance. You’ve got 60 sunny north facing acres of countryside with Coromandel Ranges views, spacious standalone villas with your own garden and driveway, and yet Paeroa’s main street is only minutes away. Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga are all still easy to get to, so staying connected with family and friends is simple.
That mix of space, freedom, community and everyday lifestyle is why so many residents say Longridge just feels different from other villages.
